Main Material: Gold

Period: 19th Century

Condition Report: Very good condition

An eye-catching Victorian multi-gem acrostic bracelet, consisting of seven clusters, each centrally-set with a round faceted stone – a diamond, emerald, amethyst, ruby, emerald, sapphire and topaz, the initial of each stone spelling the word DEAREST. Each of these stones is surrounded by a cluster of rose-cut diamonds, estimated to weigh 2 carats in total, all set in silver to rose-gold back, connected with rose gold curb-link chain.

Acrostic jewellery was popular in the Victorian era as a way to wear a message of endearment. The clever clasp gives the chain of this bracelet a seamless look. The lively and sparkling floral clusters of this bracelet catch the light beautifully, and gemstones all glimmer with stunning colour.

Joanna Hardy says: "A very pretty and fun bracelet. The acrostic spells ‘Dearest’ and the stones are bright, which helps make the message clear – you could test your friends’ gem knowledge!"
