Main Material: Glass

Period: Early 1900s

A remarkable and dramatic necklace. This antique piece was created in the archaeological revival style and incorporates many elements and motifs from Ancient Etruscan culture. This necklace features an array of gorgeous stones, including coral, labradorite, star-rubies, jasper and agate. Suspended from the large central labradorite is a slice of coral carved into a ram’s head, a classic motif of both ancient jewellery and archaeological revival style. This spectacular piece would provide a striking and eye-catching complement to a dress with a plunging V neckline.

Joanna Hardy says: “Not for the faint hearted! This is a spectacular show for originality, with a bohemian vibe. It is heavy, but I love it. The star rubies are from India. You can imagine an actress of the time wearing such a jewel to great effect, paired with the loose clothes worn by the ‘rebellious’ style leaders of the aesthetic movement. Dramatic and ready for Glastonbury next year!”
