An elegant Edwardian pendant. This piece features a central disc of royal blue enamel set in the centre with a lovely pearl. Diamond-set foliate motifs radiate out from the pearl, adding sparkle. Surrounding the central enamelled circle is a fine openwork platinum frame. Platinum was widely used in the Edwardian era for its ability to create strong designs that could be highly visually delicate. The frame to this pendant mimics the look of fine mesh lace, with diamonds sparkling throughout. Diamonds also border the fine platinum work and stud the pendant loop. An exquisite piece.

Joanna Hardy says: “A fine, elegant and delicate jewel. It shows great craftsmanship, and to think it was handmade… You won’t find these techniques being done today. In great condition – a jewel for the connoisseur. Comes in a fitted Asprey box.”
